Mliiv in Cherkasy oblast has been a family estate of the Symyrenko family. Fedir Symyrenko (1780-1867) was the founder of the industrial firm “Yakhnenko-Symyrenko,” which in the 30s-40s of the 19th century became a leading company in the field of grain, flour and cattle trade. Then, his grandchild Lev Symyrenko is famous as a scientist-gardener, who received recognition as a researcher of fruit and berry cultures. You can find both Symyrenko’s Family Museum and L. Symyrenko Mliiv Gardening Institute in the village (open since 1952).

- Take a bus / train / car to Gorodyshche city, Cherkasy oblast
- Walk / take a bus / hitchhike to Mliiv (ask locals to navigate you)
